Namaste!
We’ve started the pranayama exercises and together with the asana and meditation we have a lot to do each morning.
Yesterday’s chat with Sally Kempton was amazing and I feel very happy to be part of this program. Very nice people gathering to know how to meditate better and to let it be part of their lives.
Keep practicing!
DAY 12

At this point in the Meditation Revolution, we’re ready to try pranayama, breathing exercises that serve as a bridge between the outward, active practices of yoga—like asana—and the internal, surrendering practices that lead us into deeper states of meditation. Today you’ll learn Nadi Shodhana, or Alternate Nostril Breath, a practice that is said to balance the energy of the body and clear the way for the awakening of higher consciousness.

My allergies make it impossible to breathe comfortably through my nose. Is this a problem for my meditation practice?
It’s fine to breathe through the mouth during meditation when needed. However, you might consider doing a regular nasal wash, especially before meditation, which should help clear the nasal passages.
